About Us
Hello! Welcome to my store!
My name is Joernie Martinez. I was born back in 2003 and had the privilege of two incredible parents and five other siblings. Growing up I was always into tinkering with electronics. I would watch these 5 minute crafts(the good ones) on youtube of people making mini tools with random electronic parts and found an interest in that. At around age 10 I bought my first soldering iron and would dissect random electronic gadgets and use them to make other random things. My first big project at that age was to try and take one of those small handheld battery powered 500 in 1 game devices and stick it into an altoids can with a rechargeable battery. I tried to make it happen however unfortunately I never got around to finishing it.
From then I always had a knack for taking things apart and fixing them or just putting them back together. I would often get in trouble for taking things apart because sometimes I just wouldn’t put it back together. The other thing that fascinated me was video games. My friend had a wii and there were a couple of summers where I would just go over his house and play for the day. My family struggled with money so growing up I had to pay for most of the things wanted. I would save up money to buy video games and would buy and sell to get other things. I would come up with these crazy ways of selling things to make money so I can get the latest video games or eventually build my first computer.
One of my craziest ventures was when I was about 13-14 years old. I saw on youtube that people would dumpster dive in the garbage bins of Gamestop and would find video games, accessories, and occasionally consoles. This absolutely shocked me and I coudlnt believe it because I would pay good money to get the things they would find for free. So I sought out to try it myself. Yes, I dumpster dove in Gamestop dumpsters and to my surprise I was actually successful, or at least what I would call successful back then. In the couple of months that I actually did it, I was able to pull about 3 xbox 360’s and with my knowledge of taking things apart and fixing them, I was able to get them in selling condition. I would take these video games I would find and sell them for a profit.
Later down the line my interest in video games shifted from consoles to PC gaming so I wasnt too fascinated with consoles. I was gifted 2 original xbox’s that didnt work but came with a boat load of games and accessories. Because they were old I wasn’t too interested in them however 2 years later when covid hit, out of boredom I decided to start tinkering with them and got both functioning again. I wasnt too interested in them however so I decided to try selling them on eBay and too my surprise they sold almost instantly. This gave me an idea.
I did a bit of research and found that people were selling there xbox’s for a pretty decent price. With the money I got from the first two consoles, I decided to buy more and put my idea to the test. I was buying old xbox originals from people who didnt want them and selling them on ebay for a profit. I saw the opportunity and took it and decided to go all in on my idea.
Soon after that everything started rolling and I found a website that sold broken and untested video games to fund my inventory for the xbox original. I opened up an official eBay store under the name from the electronic bin which I then changed it to Gaming Bin.

Fast forward to now, I'm currently maintaining the store and refurbishing all the consoles myself. I'm attending college studying computer science while running the Gaming Bin on the side.
I've expanded the consoles I work on to all of Microsoft, some Sony, some Nintendo, and Sega. I have plans on expanding even more and having an arcade/local repair shop to keep the business growing and alive.
I appreciate it if you stuck around till the end and read through my story and I would love to do business with you.
It's been a pleasure... Joernie.
